We Have a (Home)Brew Named After Us!

If you’re a regular in these parts, you know who John King is.  When he’s not sending me pictures of bears (obsess much?) or deriding me here on the blog for being a fancyman, he’s an avid homebrewer, runner, blogger and all around troublemaker.

John just posted over on Kentucky Brew Review about his quest to name his latest homebrew, a bourbon barrel aged porter which sounds pretty awesome.  Anyway, after much deliberation, he decided to name it after me and Don, skinny and the bear.  It’s been officially dubbed “Bourbon Bear-Ale Brothers Porter” in honor of the two of us.

While it’s certainly nice that he thought of us when it came time to name this batch of beer, I think he was really just looking for a way to take several shots at me at once, instead of chopping them up in the comments like he does here.  Mission accomplished!

Check out his latest post to see how he came up with the name – it’ll make you chuckle.

It would be hilarious if this beer was infected though. I’ve gotten good at shipping beer via Fedex…I just tell them I make my own hot sauce.

Well if it’s infected, you’re probably not far off. 🙂

    Who doesn’t love bears, though?

    Cough, cough.

I don’t know, but I know John seems to like them a whole lot.

    Bear is excellent.
It makes great sausage due to the high fat content of the meat. The hams, if cured right, can be fantastic.
My youngest thinks we should raise them like beef cattle.

Hear that Don? Better watch your back next time you visit the boys up north. I they invite you to “cookout” say no!
