UPDATE: We have a winner!
Well, we don’t usually do this sort of thing around here, but I’ve been thinking that I have these tickets that I’m not gonna use, and the event I bought them for is sold out, so why not recoup my $$. I’m not out to make a profit, just to get my money back. See Jim and I were planning to go to GABF this year, and while our plans were still young, I went ahead and picked us up tickets to the Pints for Prostates Rare Beer Tasting at the Wyncoop Brewery on September 30. Jim and I still didn’t have GABF tickets, but we went to this event last year, and it was so outstanding that we knew this was a can’t miss get together. So the day they went on sale I bought two.
Well as you know real life can sometimes get in the way of our plans. We planned to go to Denver, we didn’t plan for our father to pass away and need to make one or two trips to Wisconsin to attend to things. This combined with other expenses like a Metrosexual Mini Cooper purchase have drained the resources for this year’s GABF. However I still have the two tickets for the Rare Beer Tasting.
If you want them let me know. Like I said I am not looking to make a profit, just recoup my costs. So if you are interested let me know in the comments, and we can discuss. If I get multiple interests, perhaps I can do a lottery of some sort or have you pick a number between 1 and a google. We’ll figure it out.
By the way the face value of the tickets are $80 and I paid $160 for the pair. The event is sold out and is on September 30 from 1 to 4 pm at the Wyncoop Brewery in Denver, Colorado. Below is a list of the brews that they will be offering this year. BTW, don’t overlook the Laughing Dog! Jim and I had some last year and it was amazing!
Let me know in the comments ifyou are interested. Thanks
-Don

I would be interesting in purchasing the tickets, I’ll be flying into town for the GABF and would love to attend this too! Put me in the running for the tickets, I am sure you’ll have lots of interest!
OK Adam. Will do.
Hi Don,
I’m definitely interested.
I’ll put you into the running. Good Luck!
Please put me up for the tickets if neither Adam or Greg end up buying them. Thank you.
OK Ryan. You’re in. Good LuckQ
This is like selling our children Don, except I’ll miss these tickets!
Better used than hanging on my bulletin board at work!
Dang.
I was looking forward to seeing you.
We’ll miss seeing you guys as well. We were looking forward to hangin’ with some real macho brewers!
You guys were there last year too? Dang I hadn’t found this blog yet. I’m going again and hoping they have the traffic flow moving a little better this year. Last year was way crazier then the year before.
I’m assuming that this year the traffic will be about the same as both this year and last they had a 500 ticket maximum. It would be good tho to spread out some of the most popular breweries like DFH and Brooklyn and Avery. That was a tactical error last year.
Last year was one big traffic jam. Luckily I was stuck over by the Bourbon County Coffee Stout… 🙂
Damn, I was looking forward to meeting you guys in person, but I totally understand the change in plans. I just wish I hadn’t spent all that time making a B&WB collage out of bottle caps and old labels to give to you at the event . . . I guess there’s always next year. Maybe by then, Don will be the skinny, metrosexual brother.
(note: I did not actually make a piece of creepy fan-art)
We’ll miss meeting you as well. I know Don has a huge mancrush on you… 😉
Can you put me in the running, I’ll buy the tickets and then put them on EBAY with the title: 2 Tickets to Pints for Prostate Rare Tasting (suck it Jim.) then charge three times to price ala Darklord tickets. You could auction them off and anything over the price you paid goes back to the charity. I’d throw in for them but my flight doesnt arrive until 6 pm that day. Loser, I know.
I too, am sorry to hear you guys aren’t coming out for GABF. Just like Alex, I was looking forward to hoisting a pint or two with you. If any of us who do make it run into each other, we’ll be sure to raise a glass to friends who couldn’t come.
Did you already get your GABF tickets as well? If so, then you can make a mint when you sell those!
We never got that far…
is anyone going to the brewers event on 1-4pm on Saturday?
I’m not. 😦
Please put me in the running–sorry I won’t see you guys at GABF! REALLY excited about the possibility of winning these though! THANKS!
Just to be clear, you’d “win” the right to purchase them from Don, not get them for free. He’s selling them at face value ($160) which might sound pricey, but this is an awesome AWESOME event!
Of course, Jim!
Will do Win. With a name like Win, how could you possibly lose?
Exactly! Please keep that in mind tomorrow! Thanks again for the opportunity!
Please include me in the drawing as well. Fingers crossed . . .
You got it Jeffrey, you’re in.
Put me in the running – would love to purchase them and attend! As the only female appreciator of craft beer to respond thus far, I feel that should count for something!
You are absolutely right Cassie, it should count for something. It will count for you to get your name into the drawing! 😉
Haha, I suppose I can live with that!
I’d like a chance at these if it’s not too late
Sorry Dave, a winer has already been selected – I wish we could’ve helped you out!
