Well the time has come to “Draw” the winner of the two tickets to the Denver Rare Beer tasting. We had 8 people put their hat in the ring for their chance to buy at face value the two tickets I have in my possession. You know who you are, but everyone else will want to know who they are up against, so here is the list of contestants:
- Adam Star–Adam was johnny on the spot and got his name in first. That and $1 will get you a cup of coffee at McDonalds. But it was enough to get him into the running.
- Greg, otherwise known as the Pour Curator. You can see what Greg is up to at his site http://www.pourcurator.com. There he comments on everything “artsy” about craft beer.
- Ryan Conklin, as far as I can tell Ryan is just a guy that loves rare beer tasting!
- Win Bassett, yes that is two “S’s” and two “T’s”. I find it very important to get that right ever since I got it wrong once and it was pointed out to me! (Not by Win). Win is an attorney that loves Craft Beer. I’m betting he will give you his card too if you get picked up for public intox!
- Jeffrey M. Peters, Important to have that middle initial displayed at all times! Jeffrey is a North Carolinian and loves all things regional. He is a clinical researcher and loves his lunch straight off the truck!
- Cassie Ramm is an avid cyclist, runner, cooker, composter, etc. But can she run to her bicycle while cooking compost? Good thing this isn’t Wipeout, I think she would whoop up on us all!
- Gary Sink is the owner of Beveridge Place Pub, and hails from one of my favorite cities, Seattle. I’m betting if he wins he writes these tickets off his taxes!
- Finally, Ryan Highland. I think it will be confusing to have two Ryans in the mix here, so I will use the assigned numbers rather than the names for the drawing.
So here is how I did it. I wrote down all the numbers 1-8, put them into my Jaguar Eyewear case, closed the case, shook it up, opened it and without looking selected the slip with the winning number.
