Wilderness Brewing: Help Our Buddies Nate and Mike Start Up Their New Kansas City Brewery!

Our buddies Mike and Nate over at http://www.thankheavenforbeer.com are begining the hard work of opening their own brewery.  Small at first, then over time I’m sure they will be growing.  The are turning to their friends, family, acquaintances, colleagues, and whoever is interested in helping a couple of craft brewers get their operation off the ground.  The are trying to raise $40,000 operating capital to make their dreams a reality, and I know these guys can do it. Here is a letter explaining their project…

We are passionate about better beer and the artistic expression present in the creation of the many beers we have brewed at home.  We want to create a wider network of friends, family, and local community who can enjoy our artisan beer. In order to create that network we need to brew more than the five-gallon amounts that we currently make on the stove at home. Our project is to buy all the necessary equipment and obtain all the proper licensing we need in order to artistically brew our beer in 60-gallon amounts, known as “Nano Brewing.”

We love brewing and sharing our delicious beer, so much so that our friends and family are asking us to make more available to them. So that is exactly what we are planning to do. It is our goal to make some more friends in the process and keep brewing as the demand goes up and move our equipment into a space that could one day be called a brewery.

Wilderness Brewing Co. is an art project.  It is no different than the creation of a fine painting; only, instead of a canvas we’ll use a kettle.  Instead of blending different shades of paint, we’ll blend unique varieties of grains, hops, yeast, and water.  Instead of staring at the finished work of art, you will drink it!

Please take time to watch our short film, as you  will get a much better feel for what Wilderness Brewing Co. is all about.

Nate and Mike

I know these guys are for real, and they will succeed, but they need capital.  You can donate to their cause by selecting this link and donating.  They will take as little as $1 up to as much as you can give.  Below is a brief video explaining their endeavor.  Good Luck Nate and Mike!

Yeah! Nate and Mike will do well, and I hope everyone can help somehow – either financially or by helping spread the word.

Guys. Thanks so much. We really appreciate you putting the word out. I can’t say enough how humbling it is to know how much support we have from the beer community. We are truly grateful to call you friends.

It is the least we could do Mike. Good Luck. I hear you are actually moving to KC soon. That will be a great change from SoCal. I’m sure it will suit you much better, and I know you guys will be successful.

Thanks Don. Yeah, it will be better for me. We are leaving here on July 6th. Thanks for posting this.

July 6th is D-Day! Will you be taking a route that goes through Idaho? We missed each other at Thanksgiving, perhaps a belated 4th pub crawl would be in order?

Would love to say that we are going through Idaho…but we are not taking that route. However, my in-laws live there and I’m confident that we will absolutely hook up next time I am there. I think maybe x-mas.

Anyway, I won’t miss hanging with you this time.

I can not donate in good conscience until I know where they fall in the Mizzou-Kansas rivalry.

Our allegiance lies with good beer.

Beer geeks through and through, How can you argue with that?!

They should check out the guys at Pipeworks Brewing in Chicago. They ran a successful Kickstarter program to get their craft brewery off the ground.
