It is hard to believe, but we hit two milestones in one day here at B&WB. Not only did we get to expose a big beer industrial hack, but yesterday’s numbers gave us our best month since we began this site, and pushed us up and over the 500,000 visitor mark all time on the blog.
It took us a couple of years to reach that mark, and I don’t know if that is fast or slow, but it sure has been a fun and interesting journey. We say it often here but we can’t emphasize it enough, if it weren’t for you and all the friendships and interactions we have had over the last couple years, we would have given up a long time ago.
Thanks for keeping it fun and keeping us going. We truly appreciate you all, and look forward to interacting with you for the next 500K visits.

That’s what happens when you write a good blog!
BTW I found myself in Smoky Mountain territory this past weekend, and I found myself searching around for local beer caves to buy some quality stuff. I bought a bunch of beer, and discovered that I couldn’t leave without trying some Tennessee Whiskey as well. Thank you, for making me buy whiskey ON TOP of all the beer I bought. 🙂
Glad to help out Josh, anytime. 😉
Congratulations!
Thanks Michael. It’s been great. Hope you enjoy it too.
Good stuff. Congrats.
Thanks Zac, and now that you always agree with me, what do you think of the new Ford F150 Raptor? Pretty Badass, right? 😉
I’m not sure Zac has (or wants) a mancard, so I think you’re pushing it!
Congrats Guys! You earned all those views.with well-expressed craft beer and whiskey related views.
Cheers!
@TheAlemonger
Thanks Monger. We love what we do, and even when we don’t we try to do it well anyway. I guess that is our Mid Western roots showing. 🙂
You know, Facebook hits 500,000 every 2 minutes or so, but I guess we’re doing okay for a drinks blog…
Nice. Congrats. That seems like a pretty big number. Of course, you guys have lots of good, fresh content. So it’s not that surprising. Keep it comin’.
Thanks, BeerBQ, we’ll keep writing if you keep reading.
How many times have bears been mentioned in this blog?
60
bears. 61.
A google search says 1,690 which sounds about right!

yes, but that is all within 60 posts. I know, I counted.
Can I stop clicking “Refresh” now?
Keep going, Alex – 550K is within sight!
No, Don’t Stop! Its the only thing driving our numbers! 😉
We also hit 20,000 comments today – that’s not too shabby, even if most of them are John King insulting me!
Yeah, and talking about bears.
I know I hold a special place in your hearts.
Good job guys. What’s next? May I suggest two bikini clad hotties, one representing craft beer, another macro beer, duke it out in a mud pit to see which one is best. Just think of all the comments from women who’ll say that’s sexist, red neck macro drinkers who’ll claim their ol ladies could whoop any craft beer sissies, and transgender bears wondering why the beers they drink aren’t represented. 😉
yea transgender bears!
He wrote all of that and all you see is “transgender bears” – sounds about right…
And afterwards maybe we could send them all up to space with a can of or two of AB swill.
BTW Guys, congrats in the numbers, but please keep in mind that you’re all about quality over quantity.
We’d better be – we don’t have that much quantity!!
That’s a great number! Congratulations, guys.
I bet you’re past it already, John. Movies are a “bigger” topic than beer and whiskey, no?
Funny you ask… I’m not there yet, but I should get there by 2012 if December is an average month. I’m right on the cusp.
What you all are doing is far more impressive. So much of my traffic comes on big ticket days. If you took away IMDb days, I’m not sure I’d even have 200k. You earn your traffic with consistent visitors each and every day via regular readers.
Good job guys.
Now what could you do to improve on it…maybe something like, oh I don’t know…
…a pod cast?
nah, silly thought.
