I just happened across this infographic from the design firm Belancio. We’ve covered most of the health benefits of beer here on the site, but this brings them all together in one place and arranges them in an easy-to-digest manner. It’s perfect for printing out and hanging on the fridge. This way you can point to it when your significant other gives you crap about having a beer. 🙂

Interesting graphic, but REALLY bad color choices!
Yeah, I agree. More “pop” needed to read it.
Ditto that, these guys really don’t know the meaning of the word “contrast,” also the abstainers versus heavy drinker graph while looking cool is confusing (to me at least) which is which?
But it does have some great info, and overall is well done.
Yeah, I couldn’t figure the abstainers-versus-drinkers thing, so I decided to assume the drinkers win! 🙂
Drinkers ALWAYS win!
Until they don’t:

How does a person only drink 1-2 beers a day?
I guess you find a couple of people who don’t drink ANY beers a day and have theirs. 🙂
Add up the number of beers you drink, subtract the number you pee out, that is usually about 1 or 2.
Thanks Jim!

I’d be interested to hear the other side of the argument. You can pretty easily find articles that support 1-2 drinks per day, but I’d be interested to hear if there are downsides to this. I usually have a drink or two a few (or 7) nights a week, so I’m all for the pluses that this brings with it, but I’d like to know if there are any drawbacks and make the decision on how that offsets the positives.
I think it should be noted that those 1-2 12 ounce servings per day are based off a 5.00% alcohol by volume beer. Cheers all.
