I picked up a six pack of Schlafly Irish-Style Extra Stout on Friday night and have to say it’s a wonderful beer. It has a dry, chocolatey flavor and a creamy, satisfying mouth feel. It’s a total treat, and is only available for a limited time, so go snap some up if you’re a stout-loving gal or guy.
I cracked one open Sunday afternoon and was inspired to make a quick video review about the fact that this beer packs so much flavor for a brew with an ABV of only 6%.
I fired up the iPhone, gathered my thoughts and hit “record.” It was going well until I read the label and realized what a moron I am. This moment is presented below for your enjoyment. So embarrassing!

ahahah amazing
Oof. That’s all I can say. I posted it as a public service announcement!
Yes. That extra 2% makes a world of difference. I can’t wait until the BrewDog boys get ahold of this post.
Well it certainly show they have plenty to work with!
You are such a Moron, and a Dork too!
That hurts most Don, because it’s coming from you.
One more thing: It’s spelled “Schlafly.”
Hey – I got it right in the post. One out of two isn’t…well actually it IS pretty bad!
Fixed it – thanks for catching that, Zac.
Its all good Jim! We still love you!
Thanks, Scott. Sometimes it’s fun to make fun of yourself.
what is more embarrassing is you still have landline…get with the times!
Good think my beeper didn’t go off while I was taping…
Good thing. Maybe you should just quit for the day.
But then who would keep you entertained with their buffoonery?
Looks tasty, hope I can find it in NY.
I’m guessing it was for St. Pat’s day, but I found it in good supply at Liquor Outlet in Boonton, NJ.
I went to the Schlafly Bottleworks last night to watch Barton Fink- they were showing it on a big screen in their tasting room as part of a local university’s “Strange Brew” film series. And they have this on tap now. I’d had it out of the bottle, and enjoyed it out of the bottle, last year. I hadn’t had it on tap until last night. It was amazing, and the perfect compliment to Barton’s descent into hell.
Strangely enough, I was trying to describe the beer to a friend and I did a GIS looking for the product. Your image was the best one to pop up. I inadvertently came right to your article about it.
That goes to show you what an iPhone and 2 minutes in Photoshop can do for a picture!
