Infographic: The Spectrum of How You Perform Sober, Buzzed and Drunk

Sometimes a couple of drinks can put you in the zone. Other times it makes better sense to stick to the Poland Spring.

Here’s an attempt to demonstrate how your behavior and outlook change as you go from sober, to nicely buzzed to bombed out of your mind:

Thanks to Zac over at Building International Coalitions Through Beer and Pavement for suggesting the “spectrum” approach – it was tons of fun to do!

Awesome! Thanks for the link. My numbers should skyrocket…then people will read my blog and all will go back to normal.

Yeah, I’m sure the traffic will totally crush your servers! 😉

      • October 21, 2011 at 9:06 am #

Ah, you mean WordPress’ servers. I have yet to take the hosting plunge. Soon, my friend. Soon.

Ha… true, true…. I do better at darts when I’m slightly buzzed!

Why insult Fox News when you have a city full of politicians saving us from ourselves, protecting the trees, helping out the poor bankers, making our education system better, keeping our roads and bridges up to date, improving our medical care, keeping us from inappropriate porn and gambling online(but not in our neighborhoods), and on and on and on.

    • October 21, 2011 at 9:03 am #

      As it’s before 5pm on a Friday, I say “let’s agree to disagree” (see #8 above). 🙂

Please don’t turn this into a political or anti CNN, anti Fox, anti anything blog except maybe anti anyone who wants to bring back prohibition.

    • October 21, 2011 at 9:05 am #

I used Fox News because it’s a divisive entity – people either love it or hate it. I thought it was the perfect vehicle to illustrate where political talk goes when people are hammered and let their unvarnished opinions fly.

    • October 21, 2011 at 9:08 am #

I’m pretty anti-cable news in general.

  6. October 21, 2011 at 8:49 am #

What’s wrong with Fox News? I didn’t realize you other beer lovers were commies… haha

    • October 21, 2011 at 9:06 am #

It’s a political hot button is all – an easy way to illustrate what comes out of people when they are sloshed and talking about politics.

    • October 21, 2011 at 9:07 am #

There’s plenty wrong with Fox “News.”

      • October 21, 2011 at 9:24 am #

I’m like a fireman trying to put out a blaze before it spreads, and you’re a pyromaniac with a sprayer full of gasoline…

      • October 21, 2011 at 3:27 pm #

I agree Zac, but I would expand it to read “There’s plenty wrong with the news!”

  7. October 21, 2011 at 9:24 am #

Haha… It’s Friday, don’t anybody get too worked up… You guys are killin me… People get way too worked up over politics… At the end of the day, we’re all Americans. That’s the beauty of a blog like this…it doesn’t matter what side of the isle any of us are on, we can all enjoy a good beer or a glass of good whiskey together…

    • October 21, 2011 at 9:25 am #

      Amen to that!

wait, so the Onion isn’t real news?

    • October 21, 2011 at 9:37 am #

The Onion is America’s Most Trusted News Source.

I’d say it’s as real as the other crap that’s pumped out in tightly spun bites…

  9. October 21, 2011 at 9:33 am #

I get all my news from this blog, so I have no idea what you’re talking about.

    • October 21, 2011 at 9:39 am #

Atta boy! You really don’t need anything else. After all, you can choose the beers you buy and the life you lead, but Gadaffi’s fate (I hear he recently suffered a pretty serious bout of lead poisoning) really has no affect on your life.

Ah, something on which we can agree. The Onion.
Just remember their are libertarians, republicans, democrats and independents who read your blog for beer not for your childish political views. Builderofcoalitions almost got it right.
There is plenty wrong with all news networks. The reporters all think they are the news.

That’s the sound of me trying to blow out the fire before it spreads.

        Fphhh-Fphhhh-Fphhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Jesus – it was a joke on an infographic about politics, people!!! I could have said “Everybody knows the “C” in MSNBC stands for “Commie” – I just used Fox News because it’s a quicker read for the joke I was making. This is turning into Point-Counterpoint…

      • October 21, 2011 at 3:31 pm #

Its also building up the number of hits on your Blog! But I’m not sure it can beat the one about Don’s penis.

Interesting. Conservatives seem to think much that occurs on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and NBC is divisive.

    • October 21, 2011 at 10:09 am #

Hear that whistling noise? It’s the Ban Hammer, swinging down upon you!! No more political talk!!!

  12. October 21, 2011 at 10:10 am #

These comments haven’t blown up. Yet.

OK People, I feel I need to chime in here. I am as conservative as the day is long. I don’t watch Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, I don’t even watch the Daily Show. I get my news online and make up my own mind on what to think about the world. Fox News just scares old people, that has become their role. MSNBC is full of crazy loons. CNN is Ted Turner’s platform. Stop all the political talk. It was a funny comment in a Beer and Whiskey Blog infographic. Get over yourselves.

Now Back to our regular beer and whiskey programming.

    • October 21, 2011 at 10:19 am #

I liked the “It was a funny comment in a Beer and Whiskey Blog infographic. Get over yourselves” part, but all that other editorializing was fuel to the fire! Am I gonna have to ban YOU bro? 🙂

All you can do in the situation seen above is proclaim, in a loud, clear voice “TROLL! I Command thee back to the bridge or cave from whence ye came!” Sometimes if they’ve been trolling for a while, they only respond if you yell in Latin, so you might need someone to translate it for you.
