Canadian Breakfast Stout On The Bottling Line at Founders: First Time Ever

Thought I would throw up a few pictures of a momentous occasion at Founders Brewery in Michigan this morning.  For the first time ever, Canadian Breakfast Stout on the bottling line!

Pretty Bottle! Hey Founders, want to send us a sample?

Like a really cool beer version of an Oompa Loompa, workers package up their precious cargo.

What did they do in the past? Send it out in Dixie cups?

Its not new, its just never been bottled before, it was a Tap room only thing forever. The hype train is in full speed. I really hope i manage to score a bottle somehow.

I fully appreciate how you say it’s all hyped and then go on to say you really, really want it.

I feel the same – just because they’re hyping it doesn’t mean I don’t want it!

OK, so it is just new to anyone who hasn’t been to Grand Rapids, Michigan, which is like EVERYONE! But thank you for the clarification Matt, I too hope to figure out a way to score a bottle. It comes out October 3rd. I think I’m gonna have to call my sister in Michigan!

The beer has been known to find it’s way outside of Grand Rapids. I actually ran in to a Keg of this in Durham, NC last fall at a beer event I attended. $6/pint, keep the glass. Worth every penny…it’s an absolutely phenomenal beer. Imagine KBS, but better. I’ve got my Michigan friends on stand-by for Oct. 3rd 🙂

You’re lucky to be in the DC area where they ship that way. My Brother is in Jersey, but do you think I could get him to ship something to me? Hell No! 😦

No love for Big Brother Don?

What a jerk! ha, Yeah I always want someone to ship me some 3 floyds or russian river or some of that stuff, but I can’t get anyone to do it.

If it’s half as good as the KBS, then this stuff should be crazy good!
