I found the above video over at the Beer section of Reddit. It shows a looooong line of empty craft beer bottles that were consumed during the Dark Lord Day festivities. It’s like a junkyard filled with exotic cars, each more tantalizing than the last.
I think I need to go to this thing.
And bring Advil.
Lots of Advil.

By the end of the day, sun down, that bottle line was massive. I mean it just kept going. I wonder what time this video was taken.
My guess is 7am. These are professionals after all! 😉
I was in Group C and shot the video around 4:30 PM. I could only imagine how many bottles got added by the time it was all over.
I think bottles were getting added every minute.
I wonder how much distance you could cover if you laid them end to end when all was said and done. I can imagine craft beer from sea to shining sea! Anyway, cool video. Thanks for shooting it.
No marriage next year….I’m going! I am going this week to pick up my two bottles!
I hear the 2011 is the best Dark Lord in years, but I wouldn’t know.
Come in October for the Bourbon Chase and the massive 2 day tasting we are doing and you can try it.
Sounds like fun, but I prefer the bourbon to come to me. 🙂
What do you have bourbon trained to come to the sound of your voice? Or have you renamed Daisy?
Well Wild Turkey sent me some, so did New Holland (although technically that was whiskey).
Wish I had gone as well. This was the first time missed in three years.
I wish you had gone as well – I’d love to hear your perspective on how the new rules changed the day.
A guy in our beer club went and documented the weekend here: http://given2flybrewing.weebly.com/dark-lord-day.html
I’ll go one of these days, but it’s convincing my wife that it’s a good use of funds is the challenge.
It’s hard to crack into the budget to go to an industrial park in Indiana, that’s for sure. Especially when GABF is out there.
