Interactive Beer Bloggers Map

Click the map to enjoy a very cool and interactive way to find a beer blogger near you (unless you're in Omaha).

Billy Broas from Billy Brew created this very neat interactive map of beer bloggers from around the country.  You can read all about it on The Beer Wench’s Site (she had a hand in this as well).  Click the image above to check it out, and hit Drink With The Wench for more details on how the idea was hatched and how to add your favorite blogger to the list.

I’ll say this – Don is the king of Idaho!  And I’m safe from bombing raids, as the map puts me a couple hundred miles from my home in Northern NJ.

Nice! If Don is the king can I be the prince? Actually, I don’t have a blog. Guess I’m not map worthy.

You’re worthy, Chad. Just figure part of that blue pointy thing stuck into Boise is for you, too. I’m sure Don doesn’t mind sharing.

Hey Don, looking at the map I see you live on the edge of a deciduous abyss. What percentage of Idaho is national forests? I looks like 30% + from the beer bloggers map.

Yes that is true, there are a lot of national forests in Idaho. Problem is how they classified “forest”. In the US Government’s ever wise eyes a forest was any land that was over a certain altitude. Can’t remember now what that was, but there is A LOT of barren desert in Idaho that is part of the national forest.

This was really cool of Billy to make. I made a map of local bars, store and brew pubs and it was a pain to do so I can understand that he put a lot of work into this and will continue to do so.

Your map is probably more useful to beer drinkers than this one, but looking at it makes me feel self important. We’re on the map! Woo hoo!

Very cool work. It’ll be fun to watch it grow!

Unless a serial killer decided to kill us off one by one. Then it’ll be sad to watch it shrink.

Hey that could be a really cool Criminal Minds episode! Can I be the serial killer that kills all the other Bloggers to make B&WB the super beer blog of the US? I think I’ll put on clown makeup! Ooohhh…

      • June 16, 2010 at 5:37 pm #

Look out it’s Don Wayne Gacy!!

        Killer Clown!

Now that would be a scary serial Killer!

Whew time to come up for air! Got a bunch more added. There are a lot but with everyone sending me their links and such I can fly through ’em pretty quick.

    Glad you guys like it!

haha look at where Don is!! If somebody is using this map to find you they better bring a Sherpa! And Jim, happy to keep ya safe down there in the witness protection program. Seriously though if you want to be closer to home just give me the directions. Or you can stay in witness protection, that’s cool too.

And a big thanks to Scott for volunteering to help add bloggers!

That’s cool Billy, you put me right by Sun Valley. If anyone needs me I’ll be by the pool looking at the mountains…

I’ll be breathing in the toxic fumes near the Parkway and Rt 4. As a result, I’ll probably be a gonner before Don comes for me anyway to take over my blog. All I ask is that you allow Bud Light Lime to remain the top-commented post and I’ll rest in peace.

Jim, you have waaaay too much time on your hands! Too funny!!!! I’ve noticed a trend of Don abuse around the beer blogosphere. Good thing he’s so far away!

Good work Billy. There’s a lot of new blogs that weren’t even on the map for me before they were on the map. 🙂

I’m really not sure how I became such a whipping boy, but whatever. I agree, my bro has way too much time on his hands…perhaps his EMPLOYER would like to see some of his handy work he has created on COMPANY TIME! Actually this gives me an idea to create a new blog…Insane Clown Whiskey Blogger…what do you think? Good for maybe 5 hits a day?

      • June 17, 2010 at 10:05 am #

If you wrote it in an insanely clowny way, then I’d say it’d be worth at least 7 hits a day.

This is f’in cool. Perfect for the macrobrews to surround our houses and poison our water supplies more effectively. You can drop me a wee marker right next to Clare Goggins. Astoria beer bloggers represent. Stoked to see it grow. Nicely done.

    • June 17, 2010 at 9:51 am #

I wouldn’t worry about the macro brewers poising your water, David. Everything they do is so watered down, you’d probably suffer no ill effects.

Since they are all connected, I am going to claim I am king of the intermountain west with currently no bloggers in Montana, Utah, Nevada, Wyomong, Nebraska, Oklahoma, or Arizona. I represent all those states. They’re mine!

Oh yeah…and Kansas too. It’s mine toto!

    • June 17, 2010 at 5:32 pm #

I knew it’d go to your head, Don. I bet next you’re going to demand to be called King Don! Or maybe we’ll call you Don King…

  9. June 17, 2010 at 8:07 pm #

Don, with all the abuse you get, I won’t say anything about your territory claims. Its all yours buddy!

Jim, if only your skills could be used for good and not evil. Naaaaaaa! This is better!

Oh yeah, I claim Iowa too! B&WB can legitimately claim Iowa as I lived there for over 10 years, and Jim lived there as well growing up as a kid. Iowa is ours too…Hands off or I’ll sick Mike Tyson and his tiger on you!
