You gotta love Texas! They take everything to extreme, not only is it legal to drink and drive (as long as you aren’t drunk), but they have these nifty drive through liquor stores for the alcoholic on the go!
So what will you be picking up this weekend and why? Make sure you tell us why you want to pick up a certain beer or whiskey. Have you had a craving? It is hoppy beer season, are you looking forward to that insanely hoppy IPA or Barleywine? Do you have a craving for hard cider or a pumpkin ale now that the leaves are falling and the days are shorter?

This weekend make a trek from Montclair to Rochester NY. Gonna hit up a store call the “World of Beer” Supposed to be an amazing beer store. We’ll see… Sat night I’ll drinking at the Tap and Mallet(hopefully).

I’m going to drink Rogue Chocolate Stout, various home brews, and maybe a Bruery beer.
I haven’t figured out the appeal of Chocolate beer. I like Chocolate with red wine, but I guess I’m a chips and beer guy. Suppose Lays will come out with their Sour Cream and Onion Stout?
Speaking of certain Whiskeys. George T. Stagg is out right now. My dad picked up a couple of bottles for me since I don’t see it here. Can’t wait to crack one of those open.

I’ve been stockpiling the last few weeks and have lots of good beer choices. Definately going to hit the Stone 13 I (finally) found, a Hoppin’ Frog black and tan, and a Founders Breakfast Stout. Maybe all tonight – it’s been that kind of week!
I too might be drinking chocolate stout. I enjoy them once in a while…chocolate notes are derived naturally from particular malts, so it is only natural to add cocoa to accentuate them.
My wife is having contractions…looks like tonight’s the night, so maybe I’ll be drinking hospital apple juice.

I have about 5 martins a year – but they hit the spot when I do. Not sure what I’ll be drinking this evening….if Jennifer is joining probably be a bottle of Grenache or Zin. The beer fridge is pretty empty – getting it a bit more stocked is part of my weekend plan…
Jeff, You should try a few brews from Stone Brewing, and/or the Bruery. I’d stay away from Dark Orchard, but many of their offerings have gotten some pretty great reviews.
