I’m at Eataly in NYC, and can’t bring myself to care about Italian beer. How come “Italy” and “beer” don’t go together in my head?

The World Health Organization recently released its report on alcohol consumption around the globe and the statistics show that 1) America is all about beer; 2) beer is gaining in popularity; and 3) beer is delicious.  Well that last one is all mine, but it’s easy to infer from the first two points.

I’m guessing that Discovery network is trying to generate excitement around this topic.  Perhaps in anticipation of another Brew Masters run. I’m hoping.  Check it out.
