My husband was recently asked by his doctor to try a gluten free diet, so we’ve been experimenting with products (btw, you can be sensitive to gluten without having full-blown celiac disease — I’ve read that it’s the most common food allergy. Also, oats are ok if they’re not milled on the same machinery as wheat, barley or rye).

So far, we’ve only tried 2 beers. One was as forgettable as most you tried. The other was Green’s Amber Ale from Gent, Belgium, which we voted good enough to drink even if you didn’t have to. It’s made from millet, buckwheat, rice, and sorghum. (Of course, if you didn’t have to, there are so many even more interesting choices.)
